A dark, dark red, there are almost hints of black on the edges of some of the petals. If it wasn’t for the brighter centre of the flower with yellow stamens, the colour would almost be too dark. The plant is spreading, it will trail down over a low wall or the side of a pot, or if grown on a flat site will be a mounding ground cover, without getting too big. Use for ground cover in beds or borders. Very good in pots and tumbling over walls.
