It is quick to repeat with dense, disease resistant foliage.

In the English spring of 1996, the British rose breeder Harkness Roses, presented the household of the Princess of Wales with one plant each of several newly hybridised seedling varieties for Diana to select the one to be named The Princess of Wales.

In due course, and with the appropriate permission from both the Princess and the Queen, the hybrid known as ?Hardinkum? was chosen.

Sadly, the rose saw its first official use at Diana?s funeral.
