Bathsheba has buds of apricot-yellow which open to up to shallow cupped rosettes with many petals. The blend of subtle apricot-pink to soft yellow gives the impression of apricot with creamy outer petals. Bathsheba has a strong myrrh fragrance, which has hints of honey and tea. It is a short vigorous climber, making it suitable for pillars or arches. It can get to a 3m – 3.5m spread.

The name was inspired by the heroine of Thomas Hardy’s Far from the Madding Crowd.
